Nothing but praise for Anton and his company! Having never been on a tour before, my husband and I didn't know what to expect. But this exceeded our expectations on all accounts. Anton was very punctual, picking us up right on time. The minibus was perfect and well maintained. He was very knowledgeable, easy to talk with and had us laughing. He made it personable and tailored the trip to what we were interested in. He took us to some spots not on the tour since we had extra time. He truly loves his job and Iceland and it is contagious. We loved every minute of the tour with Anton and hopefully, we will be back to explore more areas. So glad I stumbled upon BTI.
If you're thinking of booking this company - don't hesitate, do it! They were everything I was hoping to get when I booked our tours in Iceland. Our guide, Tommi, was an Iceland native and was so passionate about his country and sharing it with us and I felt this made an enormous difference to our experience (compared with our other tour company we went with where we didn't have a passionate guide). The best thing about the tours with this company is that you don't just stick to the standard itinerary, they will tailor the tour to your group and the weather conditions to give you the fullest and best experience they can. They also look after you really well and they taught us so much about Iceland. Read on Tripadvisor
This South Coast Tour For Cruise Ships takes you across the stunning and varied landscape of Southern Iceland and shows you places which are a nature lover’s dream. Cascading waterfalls, lowland farmland, high sea cliffs, black lava sand beaches, volcanic rock formations, and glaciers are all experienced during this exciting day trip.
Reykjavik – Skogar – Vik – Reykjavik. The vast expanse of Iceland’s southern coastal plain, you will view snow-capped glaciers and the sea and crisscrossed by some of the country’s most powerful rivers, is the subject of this option-packed tour. A stop will be made at the amazing waterfall Seljalandsfoss, where you walk behind the waterfall itself. We also stop at Skógarfoss and that is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country with a width of 25 meters (82 feet) and a drop of 60 m (200 ft). Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is normally visible on sunny days.
Depending on road and weather conditions (summer only) we can stop at Dyrhólaey, a small island with a natural door trough it, in the summer we can see puffins on top of the cliff of Dyrhólaey.
The trip then continues east, past the towering mass of Mýrdalsjökull glacier to Vík, If desired a stop can be made at Sólheimajökull glacier (Depending on road and weather conditions), so you can walk up to and touch the glacier itself. Then to Vík Iceland’s southernmost village. On the way back following the coastline and drive to the famous Black sand beach or Reynisfjara.
